Professional registration
The UK GMC Portfolio pathway asks a doctor to show their knowledge, skills and experience.
CareerForge can organise your work and export your notes. It does not produce a GMC submission or certify your experience.
Before you start
Is this a resume builder?
CareerForge starts with your Portfolio: everything you have done, kept in one place. It writes a resume and cover letter from that Portfolio for each job.
Do I write a new resume for every job?
No. You keep one Portfolio. Each application gets its own resume and cover letter, with the parts that matter for that job first. You can change what you like in the editor.
What if I am changing careers or starting out?
The Story asks about each requirement, one short question at a time. It draws out relevant work, even when your old resume gave it one line or none.
What do I need to start?
A resume in PDF or DOCX and a job you want. Paste the job text or a LinkedIn link. No resume yet? Start with the Story.
Does it apply for me?
No. You review the resume and cover letter, then send them yourself, wherever the job is. Download the PDF or copy the text, and mark the application sent.
Can I take my Portfolio with me?
Export your whole Portfolio from Profile as JSON, Markdown or PDF. Your saved work stays yours across applications.
Are the examples real?
The people and companies are fictional, and the photos are generated. The resume previews are the app’s own output.
What about Chartered or CPA submissions?
Export your notes and write the submission yourself. The app does not write or submit it.
